The last few months have been a bit crazy for us. Organizing a new generation of bouldering festival isn't easy. Add another 4 into the equation and suddenly things get a lot more complicated- From sorting out T-shirt designs, to holdz, through to prizes, music and lighting. Not forgetting the actual walls themselves and all the paperwork that goes with them- There's a lot to do... But we are nearly there and the first event on 20th October at Mile End looks set to be awesome!
So, what to expect when you turn up on the day?
Well apart from the climbing itself- set on a special Blocfest circuit combining great holds with our custom made volumes and our unique climbing challenges there will be a lot more going on...
We will have the Nourish Me Now team giving out samples of their great tasting recovery drinks along with some special prizes given out to whoever has impressed them the most on the day. Neil Gresham and the Masterclass Team will be there to lend a helping hand if you find yourself struggling with any of our blocs and Karma climbing will be there to give away amongst other things, a very special, limited edition Blocfest branded Karma fingerboard. This is one of a kind and has been made especially for the event! Also Wild Country will be running a boot demo, so you can try out some of their latest boots on the freshest blocs. And when all this starts to take its toll, you can retreat to our sports masseuse John Daines to soothe any aches or pains from trying to hard, and then go warm yourself up with some delicious soup from Fifi's soup kitchen. All this along with some banging tunes and loads of other prizes and giveaways will set the stage for a great day!
